SRUC launched our first Sustainability School in 2023
Now in its 2nd year, our Sustainability Start-up School provides our students with the opportunity to further explore and develop their ideas. Our structured programme does this over a period of 8 weeks through a combination of:
- Workshops;
- Introductions to some of Scotland’s enterprise support organisations;
- Talks delivered by entrepreneurs;
- 1:1 personalised support.
“SRUC champions sustainability in all aspects, from its operations to education, from research to consultancy, with all parts working together for the benefit of the natural economy. It’s a privilege to be working with such a fantastic group of students. Each carry with them immense potential and the passion required to become changemakers within their communities and beyond.” - Dr Carol Langston, Director of the Enterprise Academy.
"[I liked] Hearing real stories of start-up and successful and failed businesses. Very interesting real stories of start-up and successful and failed businesses hearing their stories, listening to their advice and mistakes to avoid. Knowing that it is okay to make mistakes and that you can recover from it.” -2023 Participant.
