Interpretation of IBR Antibody ELISA Results (Blocking Percentage)
Positive : =/>55%
Inconclusive : =/>45% to <55%
Negative : <45%
Where the result for a single serum sample falls into the inconclusive category it is suggested that the animal is re-sampled and tested again after two weeks. Please note that this is a blocking ELISA test so the higher the blocking percentage the higher the level of antibody. Caution should be used in the interpretation of gB ELISA positive results below 86% particularly when there are no strong positives (86% or above) in the group. In this case they are best considered to be inconclusive and resampled after a period of two weeks.
