I am a Forestry Consultant based in the Ayr office and I cover the South West region. My work is generally working on new woodland creation site from inception through design, to implementation and maintenance. I also do work on Statutory Plant Health Notices, Harvesting and Marketing and Long-Term Forest Plans. Since starting at SAC Consulting in 2018 I have successfully submitted 14 woodland creation schemes ranging size from 1 ha to 45 ha.
I graduated with a BSC (Hons) in Forest Management in 2006 and have worked in the forest industry for 15 years, starting as a works supervisor at the time for Central Scotland Forestry Trust and within my first year submitted my first woodland creation scheme call Lower Mosswater a small native woodland scheme. I changed roles and became a project manager and over the course of 8 years I submitted grant applications for woodland creation and woodlands in and around town, project management sites ranged from woodland creation, harvesting, and restocking and path improvements.
My hobbies include military and natural history.
