Janette Sutherland

I am an Agricultural Consultant who specialises in crofting. I provide technical and financial consultancy services to crofters and farmers, specifically advice on agricultural grants, policies and regulations.  I also deliver government funded advisory activities on various topics. I am responsible for an extensive schedule of training courses and on-farm visits. 

I studied Ecology, I am happy to help you learn more about the habitats and wildlife you have on your croft or farm and how you can maintain or enhance it.

I am very interested in soil and grassland and am a FACTS acreditted advisor. 

I have extensive knowledge of crofting systems including common grazings, I am an invitee to the NFUS Crofting Highlands and Islands Committee.

Outwith work you will find me on my croft working with my cows and enjoying its wildlife.
