Higher Education funding
Higher education (HE) is any study after secondary education that’s taken as part of an undergraduate or graduate degree.
Higher education (HE) qualifications at SRUC include: HNC, HND, BA or BA Hons, BSc or BSc Hons, MSc, PG Certificate, PG Diploma, PDA at SCQF Level 7, Top-Up Degrees, and MRes.
Scottish resident students
In higher education everyone is liable to pay tuition fees; however you can apply to SAAS to have this paid for you. This should be done as soon as possible
If you are a Scottish postgraduate student you may be eligible to apply to SAAS for a tuition fee loan.

RUK students
Students from England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Channel Islands, or Isle of Man may be eligible to have their tuition fees paid as part of a bursary by Student Finance England, Student Finance Wales, Student Finance Northern Ireland or other Government Departments.

International students
To be eligible to apply for support (tuition fees, student loan, bursary and living costs grants), you must be ordinarily resident in the UK, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man for the three years immediately before the relevant date (the first day of the first academic year of the course). If you fall short of this period, even by one day, you will not be eligible to apply for support under the normal residence conditions.
We will not treat you as being ordinarily resident in Scotland if your main purpose in coming here has been to receive full time education, because you would otherwise be living elsewhere.

EU students
Only EU nationals who are 'settled' or 'pre-settled' in the UK will remain eligible to apply for home tuition fees. Other EU nationals and associated groups are not eligible to apply to SAAS or a college bursary for tuition fee support and therefore will be charged the international rate for tuition fees by SRUC.

Irish nationals who who are coming to SRUC to study a Higher Education course will be charged the RUK-rate.
