The Company:
We are a LEAF Marque accredited potato, carrot, and cereals arable farm with strong sustainability credentials. We supply fresh produce into the UK retail market every day and have a strong belief in a vertically integrated supply chain.
The Role:
This role offers first-hand experience in advanced farming practices, professional development opportunities, and the chance to contribute to an innovative operation expanding due to market demands.
- Support all stages of our production process, learning our methods and practices for producing high-quality crops.
- Conduct regular field visits, audits, stock sampling, soil analysis, and more
- Gather and analyse data from soil samples, weather stations and field visits.
- Support audits, stock sampling, and software administration (GLGM & Livetrace).
- Manage and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external, giving you high visibility within the business.
- Assist with data analysis, software management, administrative tasks, and other critical operational functions that periodically require doing.
The Candidate:
- An initiative-taking person with a degree in Agriculture
- Someone with strong observational skills leading to suggestions for improvements and change
- A proactive approach and the ability to adapt to different aspects of the business
- A passion for modern farming and strong commercial awareness
- A character that is honest, hardworking and easily approached
- Someone that does not mind travelling around Eastern Scotland.
The Package:
- £30,000 - £40,000 per year depending on knowledge and experience and subject to review after a probationary period.
