The Job:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Internship in Forestry and Woodland with Carsphairn Community Woodland Ltd.
This internship offers a practical introduction to community forestry and woodland working within a supportive, real-world working environment.
The internship is supported through CatStrand’s Cultural Glenkens Programme, made possible by support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

The Company:
Carsphairn Community Woodland manages a 49-hectare mixed woodland, Muirdrochwood Forest, on behalf of the Carsphairn community. The woodland is located in the beautiful Galloway Hills of the Glenkens, South West Scotland, and supports sustainable forestry, community access, and local engagement.
The Package:
- Paid experience -The Real Living Wage
- 5 hours per week (Mon–Fri, 9.00am–4.30pm)
- Practical forestry & woodland management skills
- Experience working alongside professional woodland staff
- A solid foundation for further training, apprenticeships, or employment
- 6-month contract starting mid-February.
