The Job:
The main responsibilities of this role involve working with the Livestock Manager, Arable Manager and AD manager to provide cover and insight into all aspects of the business to aid the efficient running and integration of all departments. Other responsibilities will include staff management within the dairy team, record keeping and estate maintenance and farm tidiness.
This job role is based primarily at Evershot, located between Dorchester and Yeovil.

The Company:
At Velcourt we're farmers first, measuring our success as dairy and livestock farm managers on the basis of the physical, financial and performance returns we deliver. Evershot Farms is a 3,300 ha mixed farming business spread from Yeovil to Abbotsbury, Dorset. This job role is based primarily at Evershot, located between Dorchester and Yeovil. Evershot is home to 1200 high-yielding Holstein cows, a 750kw Biogas plant, a 2000 dry ewe flock and the associated forage and arable cropping.
The Candidate:
- Formal agricultural qualification preferred
- Drive and enthusiasm for livestock production and high welfare standards
- Self-motivated with strong communication skills
- Eagerness to learn and develop
- Good agricultural background which can be developed
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
The Package:

- Training: on farm development of key skills e.g. Telehandler, First Aid, Manual Handling.
