We have an exciting opportunity for you to be a key member of our forestry team based in Jedburgh, in the role of Forest Manager.
In this role you will be responsible for delivering a professional, high-quality woodland management and forestry contracting service to existing and new clients. The role will involve building and maintaining professional client, supplier, contractor, and stakeholder relationships and, the preparation of client budgets, reports, and the implementation and management of work programmes and grant applications. The position will cover managing existing productive forestry and forestry operations as well as the opportunity to work on the planning and implementation of new woodland creation projects.

The Candidate:
As an experienced forestry professional, with a background in forestry (or other related sector), you are able to demonstrate your strong commercial acumen and ability to build and maintain strong working relationships. In addition, you’ll have:
- good knowledge of upland conifer forest management
- the ability to work well in multidisciplinary teams across a company
- strong commercial and client relationship skills
- business development experience (desirable)
- good knowledge of the UK Forester Standard and UKWAS
- good knowledge of Forestry Grant Schemes (desirable)
- professional membership of the Institute of Chartered Foresters or another relevant professional body (desirable)
- a full UK driving licence.
