Are you a highly organised team player? Join a fast-paced, award-winning livestock business to ensure efficient and smooth operations across the South West of Scotland and the North of England.

To succeed as a Livestock Operations Manager, you'll need a strong understanding of livestock farming and the ability to build lasting, productive relationships with farmers. You’ll need a mix of practical livestock skills and administrative attention to detail. The role offers a hybrid working schedule, allowing you to work from home for two days a week, with the remaining time spent at our client’s site and farms across your allocated regions.

The Candidate:

Essential:

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of livestock production systems
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise own diary to meet business needs
  • A passion for livestock, and a natural networker who enjoys dealing with farmers
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, able to handle sensitive or potentially contentious discussions diplomatically to achieve positive outcomes
  • A team player who can work cross-functionally across a business
  • Driven and resilient with the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment, open to working flexible hours when required
  • Familiar with industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Good commercial and financial acumen
  • Proficient in IT skills
  • A UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the allocated region
