SRUC

This Higher National Unit introduces learners to the environmental impact of an increasing global population and its use of the earth’s natural resources. Emphasis is placed on how this impact can be lessened by identifying sustainable methods of utilising limited resources and developing action plans from an individual, national and international perspective.

Who the course is for:
This course is for learners going into S6 who are passionate about sustainability, climate change and environmental issues and who may wish to continue studying these subjects at a college or university level.

Entry Requirements:
S6 pupils who have attained Maths and English National 5 (Grade A to C) and preferably 1 Higher.

Duration:
This course is designed to be completed over one academic year. 

Delivery:
This course will be delivered 100% remotely using online classrooms and assessment and will be flexible to cater to individual learning styles. Support will be provided by lecturers from our Wildlife & Conservation programmes. 

Qualification:
On successful completion of this course, you will be awarded one SQA accredited Higher National unit at SCQF level 7.
