Living at Oatridge

Our Oatridge campus stands on its own 283-hectare estate, including a working farm, in the West Lothian countryside and is within easy reach of the motorway network. As well as student accommodation and a library, the campus is also home to the Scottish National Equestrian Centre (SNEC).

Accommodation information

SRUC Oatridge campus has seven residences with more than 200 rooms, offering a choice of standard and en-suite accommodation.

Students under 18 stay in standard, catered rooms in the Tay, Clyde and Forth residences. Lorn, Solway, Moray and Cromarty flats have 84 en-suite rooms that are divided into 16 self-contained flats, each with a common room/kitchen area.

For students with mobility requirements accessible rooms are provided.

You can read the resident handbook here.

How to book accommodation

Applications for accommodation can be submitted from 1 April each year to OatridgeResidential@sruc.ac.uk. Just phone us if you have difficulty applying by email.

You first need to submit the residence application form to your Campus Residential Manager. Please download the student accommodation application form. Your campus residential manager must receive this information directly from you.

Once you have submitted your application form you will receive a letter confirming you accommodation. You will then be sent a "Licence to Occupy" to sign. This is an agreement, subject to terms and conditions, for you to occupy a bedroom whilst you are an SRUC student. You can apply for accommodation before you have received an offer of a place on your course of study and you can cancel your accommodation if your plans change.

Accommodation fees are state on the application form. Please make sure you have funding in place for your accommodation. Advice on funding is available on the Student Support pages on this website. You will need to make the first of eight monthly payments in October. Your Campus Residential Manager will give you information on how to set up monthly payments.
